To create a church planting track to our support raised staff program where recent graduates will be trained and prepared for collegiate church planting by serving in an actively missional role and in a collegiate setting. This will involve church planter staff members raising support as a North American Mission Board (NAMB) campus missionaries under Trace’s supervision, spending a couple years in ministry reaching the lost on Auburn’s campus, serving alongside our college ministry, getting theological and missional training as they do so, and getting practical experience by leading a simple church here in the Auburn-Opelika area until they are ready to move to an under reached college campus somewhere else in the country.
These are small churches that gather in free, multipurpose spaces to:
GROW IN THE WORD
PRAY WITH AND FOR EACH OTHER
SHARE A MEAL TOGETHER
LOVE ONE ANOTHER SACRIFICIALLY
SPUR ONE ANOTHER ON IN MISSIONAL LIVING
There are no startup costs, space costs, paid staff, or costly programs. They are led by a shepherd-teacher who will oversee the general care and direction while also making sure all members are engaged and leveraging each of their individual gifts for the growth of the entire body.
